How Aspivenin ® works

The white plunger is drawn back and the unit is then applied to the area of attack and pressed down which creates a continuous vacuum in the nozzle. This gently draws poison from the bite or sting.

  • As my business is building bridges for logging companies, many of my overseas trips involve periods in deep tropical rain forests and it has certainly been a comfort having my trusty Aspivenin with me.

  • Folks … just bought a really neat ickle piece of kit for use on bites and stings (insect, reptile, arachnid). It’s called an ‘Aspivenin’ kit – about the size of a tobacco tin, containing a small vacuum pump and a selection of ‘heads’) that literally sucks the venom out of you . All sounds very simplistic, but highly recommended – works a treat on wasp stings. I was actually recommended this by a colleague of mine who spent 10 years working in Cyprus, where she used it regularly on scorpion and hornet stings.

  • I bought the Aspivenin and it turned to be a great product. There are a few sting and bite relief products out there but I highly recommend Aspivenin.

  • I decided to be extra cautious with the kids and recently bought an Aspivenin – I have to say it is a brilliant device. I used it myself and on my 12 year old and it really works. Of course, it doesn’t prevent bites, you still need to use repellents but if they fail, it removes poison and stops the itching.

  • Last week I was suffering from two nasty cat flea bites from a neighbour’s house. I applied the vacuum pump to both bites that afternoon and again that evening. The itching subsided almost immediately. I went to bed…..and suddenly it was morning – a miracle!

  • I love it, I’ve used it all the time! It really works and stops bites itching straight away, arrived quickly too!

  • I recently saw on a BBC News 24 travel programme, a mention of a product called Aspivenin. My wife reacts badly to various stings and bites and as a consequence I thought that anything, particularly something environmentally friendly, must be an essential for tropical travel. We flew out to Antigua armed with the Aspivenin. We were both attacked by most of the local beasties and out came the Aspivenin. The results were spectacular and instant.

  • I first saw this in a friends home in Spain and had to make use of it as I had been bitten. The relief from itching stopped almost immediately, and so simple to use. It does not seem to be advertised widely any where. I found out from my friend and then searched the internet. My advice………..get one especially if you travel abroad.

Mosquito Bites

Family: Diptera

The mosquito is an arthropod order Diptera (mosquitoes and flies).

Diptera insects are among the most feared in the world through their role as a vector of many diseases: malaria, yellow fever, dengue, chikungunya …

Mosquito or “Culicidae” part of the group of insects with sucking mouthparts, some components are elongated and form a trunk / suction.

To feed there first penetration into the nutritive tissue, followed by an injection of saliva and finally aspiration of liquid, here the blood is the blood-sucking mosquito. This itchy and very uncomfortable so is not strictly speaking a poison but a substance in its saliva which serves to maintain blood fluidity, a kind of lubricant … It is always the female that bites, to ensure the development of their eggs. It is essentially the male floriculture feeds or almost none.

Mosquitoes are attracted to dark colors, moist heat, sweat and hot and tanned skin.

Wasp Stings

Family: Hymenoptera

The wasp is part of the order Hymenoptera.

It is recognizable by its sheer size and its yellow and black striped dress. It is omnivorous. This is the most aggressive wasps, especially in the fall when food is scarce.

Their nests can be underground or hung on trees, in attics or roofs. We can count up to 10,000 individuals. The queen lives about a year, working a few weeks.

As the bee’s sting apparatus is an ovipositor, an organ that is used to remove the eggs. Transformed into a sting associated with venom glands, it is used to paralyze prey or defend themselves.

Wasps and hornets, are responsible for the greatest number of accidents in Europe. It may be noted that if the hornet is very aggressive, it is still very dangerous, its long stinger can inject venom directly into the blood vessels.

Emergency
ASPIVENIN ® is very effective against envenomations by insect bites, which excluded any use of medical care as soon as possible for severe cases.

Snake Bites

Family: Ophidian

Venomous snakes are widely distributed in the earth’s surface.

The Viperidae abound in Europe, Asia and South-East Africa.

The Crotalidae live in North America, and South Asia.

We meet the African Elapidae (cobras, mambas), Asia (cobras, bungares), Australia (cobras) and America (coral snakes).
Finally, Hydrophiidae (water snakes), most of which are adapted to aquatic life living in the tropical seas.

The most dangerous snake in the world is the Taipan, he lives in Australia.

In Europe we are primarily concerned with the viper. Average size of 50 to 60 cm with a triangular head, the viper is stocky, brown or gray with a black dorsal zigzag pattern. This is from May to September that runs most of their life cycle, feeding, moulting and reproduction. They hibernate in the winter is more or less deeply buried.

Adders are not aggressive, they attack when they feel threatened. Most bites occur in the summer during the hottest hours between 11h and 15h. The large capacity opening their jaws allows them to bite any part of the body.

Away from it all, the pump ASPIVENIN ® is the first step against all venoms. Without burdening future medical diagnosis, it can expect the use of medical care as soon as possible.

Emergency
Viper bites in France are dangerous even though the vast majority did not very serious consequences, deaths are exceptional.

In all cases, stay calm:

  • Notify make or prevent relief by 15 to get the ambulance or the 18 for firefighters (in France).
  • Unleash the injury does not, do not try to make it bleed, do not suck with your mouth, do not put a tourniquet on the limb.
  • The ASPIVENIN ® should be used early in a long time, at least 15 minutes, the application must be renewed one time.
  • Clean the wound with an antiseptic (preferably colorless so as not to interfere with the examination) or with soap and water.
  • Apply a dry and clean the wound and hold with a slightly compressive bandage. (Caution do not garrottez limb!)
  • Immobilize the limb with a sling for the upper limb and one lower limb splint.
  • If you have it, refresh the site of injury with ice placed in a plastic bag or a folded towel. Warning do not put ice directly on the wound.
  • Stay with the victim until help arrives, the worry. You can give paracetamol to relieve pain, do not give aspirin.
  • If you are isolated and relief are not warned, avoid exertion, stop a few minutes every 500 meters. Do not run! Falls on the mountain roads are statistically more lethal than the bites of vipers.
  • In all cases, if you have one, do not you even antiserum vipérin, it can be very allergenic more dangerous than most viper bites, it is only used in special cases by emergency doctors, it is a medical procedure.

Scorpion Bites

Family: Arachnids

The scorpion is part of the class Arachnida.

It is found in a variety of locations, caves, beaches, tropical forests and Mediterranean steppes, deserts, plants … Its size varies from 1 to 25 cm and its lifetime is about 3 years.

Its venom apparatus is on the tail. The period of peak activity occurring at the beginning of the night when he goes hunting. During the sting, the muscular tail is thrown forward as the stimulus.

The symptoms are highly variable, in most cases the main symptom is severe pain with moments of stops and starts, and for 12 to 24 hours. Sometimes it may be accompanied by sweating, agitation, colic, nausea.

Take your trip ASPIVENIN ® can be very useful! Obviously in severe cases it is necessary to have recourse to medical care as soon as possible.

Ant Bites

Family: Hymenoptera

Ant is part of the order Hymenoptera.

It is perhaps the most common animal form on the surface of continents, nothing stops, deserts, mountains … It is found even in the Arctic regions.

The species “Ant” or “Formicidae” lives only in society. It includes several kinds of individuals: two female castes, workers and reproductives, caste male. The workers are the majority, they are the ones that we encounter most often.

Females have a venom apparatus primarily defensive full. In our regions, multiple bites themselves are rarely dangerous, but they are irritating and rude. Some tropical species can provoke strong reactions if it is serious, eg “fire ant” biting and then projects its venom on injuries she caused.

Emergency

ASPIVENIN ® pump tested “actual size” in working with Pharmacists Without Borders in Ecuadorian Amazon has demonstrated its usefulness with a satisfaction rate of 97% for the Shuar Indian-Ashuar, whether it’s with giant ants, scorpions, spiders or even snakes …

The use of ASPIVENIN ® does not exclude the use of medical care as soon as possible in severe cases.

Chiggers Bites

Family: Arachnids

Chiggers are part of the family Acarina. Mites are arthropods whose body shows no apparent segmentation.

Appearance of the tiny spider belongs to the class Arachnida. There are an estimated 30,000 species of half a million. They are characterized by a high adaptability, they are found all over the world including Antarctica and the oceans.

Chiggers or “Thrombidion” crawlers are microscopic. The female lays her eggs in the soil, the larva comes out on the grass waiting for a warm-blooded vertebrate passes by, eg, humans. They then climb down the arms and legs and then gather in the natural folds of the groin or skin areas where there has been tightening the belt for example.

Their small size 0.25 mm does not prevent bite and inject their saliva, which contains agents that help external predigestion. Chigger bite, very irritating, itchy and lasts for the next 5-6 days. It forms a very itchy papule January-February cm. Chiggers live in large numbers in grasslands, from July to September.

Bee Stings

Order: Hymenoptera

Bees belong to the order Hymenoptera, they include a large number of species, more than 20 000.

A colony consists of 50 000 to 60 000 workers, more than a few hundred or a few thousand bucks.

The queen lives 4 to 5 years, the workers of 5 to 7 weeks.

The bees are not aggressive at first unless they feel threatened. Certain conditions increase their aggression as wind, storm, artificial fragrances, alcohol, sweat. Their barbed stinger, ripped the bite remains in the wound with the venom sac that continues to spread the poison. They also bite means death.

Emergency

It is important for bee stings do not remove the stinger before using the ASPIVENIN ®, it facilitates the extraction of venom.

ASPIVENIN ® is very effective against envenomations by insect bites, but do not exclude the use of medical care as soon as possible for severe cases.

  • The ingeniously simple and practical Aspivenin is a small syringe-like pump, can be used one handed and is safe on children and works in any temperature from -5 to +50 C. The Aspivenin is claimed to be effective on stings from bees, wasps, hornets, mosquitoes, vipers, scorpions, harvest ticks, jelly fish, weevers…

  • For horse flies, biting ants, spiders, scorpions, snakes, nettles and jelly fish. This kit comprises a precision pump and four suction cups to draw out poison. It can be operated with one hand, and is excellent for bee and wasp stings, although it’s less good for mosquito bites because it has to be used on very new bites for it to be effective. Well worth having in the first aid kit.
